I NEED TO COMPLETE THIS POST AH
today went past as a blur
from appearing in the band room at 6.30 am,
to playing warmups with the rarely early mr leng,
to getting on a bus that broke down on the highway,
to taking photos that looked like math errr graphs,
to playing in the tuning room
everything felt so surreal
before we went on stage
my left eyelid twitched
a good sign
the 15 minutes on stage felt comfortable
we stood with a smile of confidence and delivered
and then it ended just like that
looking at all the photos and letters makes me want to tear
all the friendships forged through band
nothing has ever made my heart ache so badly
i love this band and the people around me so much
when we heard results
the first thought that came to me, what did we not do enough
the same silver after all that work.
flashbacks of the past few months of hard work whizzed passed in my head during the minutes of deafening silence
the tears came
listening to them speak reconciled many things in my heart
and the hugs from everyone
it was a great journey
where 72 other people shared all these fun and love and awesomeness
ahhh
i'll miss the moments when,
everyone runs to crash someone else's photo
we sing random band songs
we camp in the band room
we do weird things like funny hand actions in public
we play with cute toys
